Tonight I prepared my bed and made the sheets perfect and sure that the bed was at a right angle to the wall. I felt satisfied. I got in. I wondered what I would think if I were a caveman and got to sleep in a bed like this all of a sudden. How would I feel?
Then I spotted what I perhaps prematurely determined was a brown recluse on the wall above me. Violin shaped. Warily climbing up the wall. Almost falling on more than one occasion. While I can appreciate its useful place on the food web; it would also be consistent with its place in nature that i kill it now. If only that it is a nuisance. (maybe that’s what humans will be to aliens or advanced robots) So I got up and smashed him with a book on playing bridge. Reluctant only because i was forced to come near it. Of course the corpse or the maybe corpse or the almost corpse fell into my bed. I couldn’t find it. There exist only two species of spiders in the world that aren’t poisonous. Most all spiders are slightly poisonous.
